At a secluded cabin near a lake, a series of unnatural events threatens ten-year-old Joshua. When he finds a sneaker in the woods, Joshua's visited nightly by a strange boy that tries to entice him into the forest to be his companion. What first starts playful turns increasingly darker as the more Joshua refuses, the more malevolent the boy becomes. Emilio Iasiello is the author of the middle grade fiction book The Web Paige Chronicles, a short story collection Why People Do What They Do, and a nonfiction book, Chasing the Green. He has published poetry in several university and literary journals and written the screenplays for several independent feature films and short films.
A devotee of the theater, his stage plays have been produced in the United States and the United Kingdom. When not pursing his writing endeavors or working a full-time job as a cyber security analyst, he spends his time testing his cooking out on his family and coaching girls’ soccer.
